Journalists work hard and they deserve a break every once in awhile. With that in mind we are lining up a number of special events where you can share drinks, brainstorm, get inspired, and dance the night away. Here’s what we’re planning:

Gala Dinner

On Sunday: All participants are welcome to the main gala dinner on Sunday evening, Dec. 3. Join us for a sumptuous meal, drinks, and great entertainment. At these festivities, ARIJ will announce the winners of the ARIJ Awards. The Gala Dinner is included in the conference package, so don’t miss it.

Welcome Reception

On Friday, Dec. 1 from 4-6 p.m. we will greet guests from around the world at an informal networking reception with refreshments and cookies. It should be a warm welcome for colleagues, first timers, new friends and the world’s most extraordinary journalists.

Journalism Human Rights Awards 

On Saturday. Dec. 2 from 7-8:30 p.m., Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) in partnership with ARIJ will announce the winners of the Human Rights Reporting Award in Jordan under the “Expanding the Public Dialogue on Human Rights in Jordan through the Media” project supported by the Dutch Embassy in Jordan.
